Plan Wellth — Hero Mark

You didn't get here by accident.

Maxed out 401(k). Equity comp vested. Your business is worth something now.

By most measures, you're doing exactly what you're supposed to be doing.

Here's the thing nobody tells you: making the money and managing it well are two completely different skills. Most people are only ever taught the first one. The actual plan, the follow-through, the person who makes sure the advice doesn't just sit in an inbox, that's the part that's usually missing.

That's the part we do.

Here's what planning looks like in practice.

Not a one-time review. Not a folder of recommendations you'll get to eventually.

A plan that gets built, gets followed, and gets adjusted as your life changes (because it will).

Financial Planning

Your tax strategy, your estate plan, and your risk management - we bring them together into one plan, so what you’ve worked for has a clear path forward.

Tax Optimization

You shouldn't have to wonder if you're paying more than you need to. We build a tax strategy specific to your situation so you always know the plan, and why it's yours.

Estate & Trust Planning

Estate and trust planning gets complicated fast. We handle the complexity so what you've built is planned for, and passed on exactly the way you want, to exactly who you want.

Succession Planning

We help you build a clear path so your legacy and the business (and everything you built it for) keeps going strong without you at the center of it.

Ryan Garland, CFP®

Financial Advisor
CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER®

I’m Ryan Garland. My wife and I have 3 young kids who keep us very busy (and endlessly entertained). I love to travel with my family, coach youth sports, and I stay active through hiking, biking, and running on mornings and weekends.

I fell in love with finance in college and was fortunate enough to spend the first decade plus of my career at a top wealth management firm in Columbus, where I learned from several industry legends and earned my CFP® certification.

I started Plan Wellth because I firmly believe in the power of compounding - in investing, in relationships, and in the time spent on pursuits we find meaningful. Every day I get to help people turn their resources into an actionable plan to help them lead a more secure and meaningful life.

If any of these sound like you, you're in the right place.

"I think we're fine, but I don't actually know."

You're a good saver. High earner, solid balances. But you don't have a real way to confirm you're actually on the right trajectory — just a feeling, not an answer.

"I've got money piling up and no plan for it."

Cash is sitting idle. Your 401(k)'s maxed. You don't have a clear next-dollar decision — just a nagging sense you're leaving something on the table, probably taxes.

"I'm paying more in taxes than I should be."

You're filing reactively instead of planning proactively. Roth conversion windows, capital gains timing, direct indexing, charitable strategy, equity comp — the moves exist. You just haven't made them yet.

"Can I retire, and will the income actually work?"

Shifting from accumulating to spending is the most stressful transition there is. You want someone to actually show you how to make it work, not just hand you a number.

"I want one person who sees the whole thing."

Your accounts are scattered across multiple custodians, maybe different advisors. An old 401(k) sits untouched. Your CPA doesn't talk to anyone. You want a single point of coordination.

"Something changed."

A business sale. An inheritance. A job change. A concentrated stock position. Complexity arrived fast, and you want someone who's done this before — not someone figuring it out alongside you.

The PlanWellth Process

A quick breakdown of what it looks like to work together

1) Discovery

Start with a short, no-obligation conversation to get to know you and find out whether we are a good fit. The Discovery phase can take multiple meetings to get organized and understand deeply “where are you now and where do you want to go”.

2) Your Financial Plan

We review all major areas of your financial life to take a look at your current state and recommendations to accomplish what’s most important to YOU! This is where we answer the deep-seated questions that came up in the Discovery Meetings. Can we retire? Will my family be okay if something happens to me? Can we pay for college?

3) Get It Done

Advice is worth nothing if it is not fully executed. We are your accountability partner to get things done after we present your planning recommendations.

4) Repeat

Life never stays the same for long. We are here for when life changes. We will meet regularly and update our advice as your situation and goals change.
